Review:
This book is generally considered
to be the bible for open and polyamorous
relationships,
this book explores what it means to love and/
or lust-after multiple persons and still
maintain sane, happy relationships with
everyone involved. The authors call it as they
see it. The language is plain, simple and frank.
(They sometimes get wrapped up in being
politically correct, but it doesn't take away too
much.) The book isn't specific to any one
queer community, and you may not agree with
everything the authors say (nor are you
expected to agree) -- but it'll help you think
about yourself and your relationships in fresh,
new ways. A must-read for anyone in an open
or poly relationship.

Review:
What does a book written by two bisexual
women have to do with bears? Plenty!
Although the book is often called "The Bible of
polyamory," it's not just for folks who want to
love multiple partners. It's useful for any
kind
of relationship. The authors write in simple,
light-hearted, non-preachy language about
topics like jealousy, effective
communication, sexual honesty and many
more topics. A must for anyone in an open
relationship. or who's simply curious about
the complexities of love and communication.

Using the magical and mythic language of classic stories from around the
world, Fairy Tales takes familiar myths and folktales and turns them into
stories about men coming out, learning to trust themselves, looking for and
finding love, facing AIDS, and helping those they love.

Review:
Nelson draws both on his interviews with other men and on his own
experiences in the gay dating scene to present this revealing and often
humorous guide. From breaking down psychological blocks to surviving a
breakup, Nelson explores the key issues in gay male relationships and the
baggage left over from adolescence.

Appicable to bears as well... there is
even a section on same sex
relationships- a fascinating blend of
traditions- Sufi, Christian, Buddhist
and others into a book that
works...takes a lot of the 'ology' out
of it.

Review:
Booklist called this "a welcome addition to practical gay literature". David McWhirter and
Andrew Mattison, authors of The Male Couple, say it's "must reading for all male
couples", while Michael Shernoff of the National Lesbian/Gay Health Foundation, says it's
"bound to become a classic".

Review:
This book discusses long-term male relationships.
I found it to be very interesting in that their descriptions
of how relationships develop seemed to echo several couples
I know in long-term relationships (up to decades). They
also discuss topics such as monogamy exceedingly well, without
becoming judgemental either way, and present examples
of successful long-term relationships.
This book is out of print, but Amazon will attempt to search for it.

Review:
This pro-gay/pro-family book is meant to help parents
come to grips with with child's non-heterosexuality.
While I didn't agree with everything the book said,
it's still says a lot that parents would need
to hear. I doubt it would magically change
the minds or feelings of homophobic parents, but the
book provides a way for communication to start.
